What is Remy human hair?

It is premium quality hair from the country it is sourced from. In Remy hair, the cuticles on all the strands of hair are aligned in the same direction. This reduces friction between the strands thus reducing the tangling in the hair. Remy hair appears more healthy, soft and silky. To test this, slide your fingers on the hair from the root of the hair to the tip. It must glide smoothly between your fingers.
However, if you try sliding from the tip to the root, you'll feel a lot of friction. This also happens with natural human hair. This is because, the cuticle layers are aligned and hence can slide smoothly.

Is Remy virgin hair quality human hair?

Yes! Virgin Remy hair is the highest quality of hair extensions you can get. Virgin hair is chemically unprocessed and is not coloured or texturally changed. For e.g. if the hair was black and wavy when it was collected, it is sold black and wavy on the market. Other hair types may undergo processes like relaxing and curling to alter the texture of the hair. Virgin kind of hair, is collected from a single donor and except for washing and drying, they are completely unprocessed.

What is the difference between Remy Hair and Human Hair?

Remy hair is 100% human hair. In Remy Hair extensions, the cuticles are aligned in the same direction and so the hair does not tangle easily. All of the hair in weave must come from one donor. Non-Remy hair is also 100% human hair, but in this case, the hair is collected in piles and as a result the cuticles are all misaligned. This hair is easily tangled and without proper maintenance, it can give a shabby look.

What's better European Remy hair or Indian Remy hair?

European hair can come from various countries around Europe and varies from company to company as well. The main difference is that it is finer in texture and it comes in a wider variety of colours. Indian hair only comes in black in the virgin state (i.e. not colour processed). Therefore when it is dyed to the desired colour they pick hair closer to that shade so it doesn't have to be dyed so harshly. Going from natural black like Indian hair to blonde is a very harsh process to the hair. So generally for blonder colours this works best as that tends to be finer as well. But for some darker colours nothing really beats virgin Indian or Brazilian hair. It really does depend on your clients natural hair.

Also European hair comes with a slight wave which is beautiful when air dried! European hair is great for finer textured hair like we have here in Britain for the most part so it really looks natural. It really depends on the clients hair structure but the European hair generally looks better as it blends better with finer hair. You need to be careful when you are choosing to have extensions where the extensionist is sourcing their hair from, as some purchase so called European hair but it is actually Indian or Chinese hair processed to look like European hair but it will loose it's identity after just a few washes.
