I am always asked if there are ways to get rid of head lice but in a natural way and not using the toxic solutions that pharmacy's sell. I always recommend that good old conditioner and the patience of a saint, going through the hair with a lice comb throughly, getting all the eggs out is a good result. However, I've just read a new remedy.🤗🤗
If you mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar, with a teaspoon of tea tree oil, it can be used as a cure for headlice, according to natural remedy specialists. Rub it into clean hair, leave for 20 minutes and then comb through with a lice comb. The acid in the vinegar kills off the lice. It also leaves your hair shiny. 💁🏼🙅🏽🙆🏾🙋🏿

For all those that asked me, "Which hair brush should I use?" I hope this helps. Round brush - for straightening long or short curly hair If you're after bouncy curls, or the perfect flick, this is the brush for you. It can also be used to straighten very curly hair or shorter styles. If your hair is fine and liable to breakage, then it is best to use a small round brush. Buy one with a wooden frame rather than a metal one, as this can cause the hair to scorch and burn. Paddle brush - for quick-drying and straightening longer hair This wide, flat brush is the must-have tool if you want to achieve a sleek, straight style. Paddle brushes have large flat bases, making them best suited to longer hair, as they allow you to dry it straight and will hold a lot of hair at once. Vented brush - adds volume to all styles and lengths Thanks to the vented brush's wide-set spikes, air can circulate really well, which cuts down drying time compared other kinds of brush. Vent brushes have vented hollow centres to allow a heated stream of air to flow through the brush and the hair, ensuring high-speed drying and making light work of root lift or adding volume to almost any style. Cushion brush - for long, delicate hair Ideal for medium to long length hair, a cushion brush is a good all-round groomer that's particularly effective at preventing unwanted static. This kind of brush is available with both natural and synthetic bristles and gently stimulates the scalp as it detangles the hair. Cushion brushes are good for smoothing, shaping and styling. Having a cushion rubber base helps reduce the static electricity generated during brushing, and therefore its a great brush to use on fine and delicate hair. It is also the best brush to use if you have a sensitive scalp, as it won't pull at your hair, like some brushes do. Oval brush - for coarse, thick hair and extensions Oval brushes are perfect if you happen to have very coarse, thick hair, as they are good at penetrating the hair deep down at the root without tugging at it too much. This gentle but effective groomer is also a good choice for curly styles and hair extensions. Oval brushes are ideal for basic work - to smooth and detangle hair of all lengths. MOST COMMON CAUSES OF HAIR LOSS/SHEDDING?
Hair loss can be caused by many things. Heat damage from blow-dryers, curling irons, and straighteners, as well as chemical processes and extensions can all result in some breakage. Stress and diet are big factors as well. If you are not getting enough vitamins and protein, your hair follicles won't be strong and healthy and there are also a lot of metabolic reasons. Thyroids that aren't functioning as they should can be a common cause of hair loss. HOW MUCH SHEDDING IS NORMAL? The average human head has an estimated 100,000 to 150,000 hairs on it. We can shed 30 to 50 strands daily and these are trapped in our brushes, or lay ready to be picked off our clothing. If you begin to lose a more excessive amount than you would normally, say 100 to 150 a day, then you may want to seek advice from your doctor to make sure is nothing to worry about. DO CERTAIN TYPES OF HAIR SHED MORE THAN OTHERS? Curly hair is actually more likely to shed than thin hair because sometimes women with curly hair tend to abuse their hair by using straighteners, which are damaging to the follicle. Heat robs the hair of essential moisture, causing the shaft to be dry, brittle, and fragile. This can be remedied with the use of heat protection products and a good hair treatment. BESIDES AVOIDING HOT TOOLS, WHAT CAN BE DONE TO PREVENT HAIR LOSS? Changes in thyroid function are commonly linked to hair loss. Avoiding soy, as it's been shown in many studies, to negatively affect the thyroid in a lot of people. The most effective way to keep your hair healthy and prevent it from falling out is to make sure you are getting enough B vitamins, iron, and protein in your diet. If you're a smoker you might be losing it because smoking can cause premature thinning of the hair and even balding in some cases. In past studies it proved that smokers, especially ones who smoke more frequently, are more likely to experience balding and thinning of the hair. This is most likely to the fact that smoking damages the hair follicle and interferes with circulation and hormone production in the scalp. Lots of supermarket brands of hair products contain silicones as they make the hair easier to comb, increase the fullness of the hair, or make the hair shiny and smooth. They create a short term illusion that the quality of our hair has improved.
However, when used over time, silicone-based hair products coat the hair shaft and seal out moisture, possibly clogging the hair follicles. So what happens is that hair can become flat and greasy with build-up or dry and straw like with a lack of moisture. Silicones are particularly bad for colored or permed hair as the hair will appear fizzy with excessive coating. Sulfates are contained in cleaning agents (detergents) and you’ll find them in most industrial and home cleaning products, such as:
Engine Degreasers Floor Cleaners Car Wash Soaps Bubble Bath Products Your shampoo They are also used as a standard in Medical Trials / Testing by Dermatologists to purposely irritate the skin in order to measure healing. This ingredient, which is standard for most shampoo (and household cleaning) products, has additionally come under attack for causing frizziness (especially in curly hair) and damaging coloured hair. After receiving any chemical treatment, it is best to always use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to maintain the style and keep your hair looking healthy. Unfortunately, hair extensions are prone to matting and tangling, and once matting occurs, fixing it is difficult. The good news is that matting is completely preventable.
First, it’s important to understand why matting happens. Hair strands shed naturally, but when your hair is in hair extension bonds, it’s trapped there until you get a touch up. When the bonds are released, all the shed hair is able to fall. It’s these shed hairs that are the troublemakers. The key to preventing matting is keeping those hairs from tangling with each other. The most important thing you can do is brush. Brush 2 to 3 times every day with a Hair Extension Brush. (Ordinary brushes will pull on the bonds and make matting even worse.) Often clients don’t brush because it’s hard, but that’s when it’s most important to brush anyway. Don’t sleep with your hair wet or damp. Satin or silk pillowcases are great, too, because they don’t cause a lot of friction and static while you’re rolling around in your sleep. It also helps to braid your hair in a single plait down the back or in pig tail plaits, to keep hair in line while you’re asleep. Keeping your hair clean is important. Although it’s not necessary to wash your hair every day, using a dry shampoo and brushing keeps unwanted dirt and oil from making the matting problem more complicated. It’s tempting to use conditioner on the roots to detangle, but conditioner can loosen the bonds and make the extensions fall out. So preventing hair extension matting is completely possible. The biggest key is brushing, keeping your hair clean, and sleeping with dry hair. Introducing the Nano Ring System to my range of Hair Extension Methods.
